Biscuit Company

Buscuit Company Biscuit CompanyThe Biscuit Company Lofts is one of the legendary buildings in Downtown. It was built in 1925 by E.J Ekcel, a famous architectural designer, as the headquarters out west for the National Biscuit Company.  They spent $2,000,000 to build it, an outrageous amount back then. In 2006, it underwent renovation and was turned into live-work lofts.

The building is located in the Art District, right next to the Toy Factory. It is near the very popular “Church and State” restaurant, as well as Joe’s Downtown Market eatery.

One of the major benefits of the Biscuit Company lofts is that it is Mills Act approved. This means that if you own a unit in this building, you will get anywhere between 60% to 80% off of your property tax. In return, you cannot make any dramatic changes to the building that will alter the historical aspects of it.

Some features of the interior include high ceilings of 13 to 28 ft, oversize doors, industrial scale windows resulting in a lot of light, hardwood floors, and many units also have private outdoor spaces, and wood burning fire place. Some units have 2, 3 and 4 floors.

The building amenities include ground level pool, with Fire Pit, BBQ, and beautiful trees. There also is a gym, and on-site parking.
